Privacy policy 

The controller for data processing in connection with the platform "Learn Learning" at https://www.learnlearning.net ("Platform") is Akademie für Lernpädagogik GmbH ("we").

In order to be able to operate the Platform, we need to process certain personal data. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and respect the applicable data protection regulations, in particular those of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). In the following, we inform you about how we process personal data in connection with the Platform and what purposes this processing serves in each case.

"Personal data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your email address, but also your usage behaviour, among other things. "Processing" means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection or storage of personal data. In addition, we refer to the definitions in Art. 4 GDPR and the terms defined in our General Terms and Conditions

 

1. Processing activities, purposes and legal bases of processing

 

1.1 Visiting the Platform


When you visit the Platform via your browser, your browser transmits personal data to our server. For that purpose, we use of log files in which your IP address is stored. In addition to the IP address, the log files provide us with the following information:

(a) Date and time of your Platform visit, time zone difference to GMT 

(b) Visited subpage 

(c) HTTP Request & Response Header 

(d) Transmitted data volume
 

The processing of this personal data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). Our legitimate interest is to be able to show you the Platform in good quality and to ensure the stability and security of the Platform.

You can find information about the cookies we use in our cookie bar, when you open the website https://www.learnlearning.net.
 

1.3 Contacting us
 

If you contact us in connection with the use of the Platform, we will process the personal data you provide (e.g. your email address or telephone number as well as your specific request) in order to process your request, for example to answer specific questions or to provide general information about the Platform. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR

If you contact us as a third party, we process the personal data you provide (e.g. your email address or telephone number as well as your specific request) in order to help you with your request. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). 

 

1.4 Creation of an Account
 

When you register on our Platform, you must provide the following personal data: 

(a) Your email address 

(b) A password (which we do not store in plain text) 

(c) Your country of habitual residence
 

We will also assign you an internal user ID. 
 

In your Account, you must also provide the following personal data: Your payment data (credit card number, PayPal) is only transferred to our payment service provider (Stripe, Inc., 354 Oyster, Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, California, 94080, USA | PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A.,22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg) via an integrated interface. We do not store any payment data ourselves. 
 

The processing of this personal data takes place within the framework of the User Agreement and is therefore based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR

1.6 Sanctions

 

We also process information if we have to impose sanctions on you (e.g. blocking your Account). This is to ensure a permanently trouble-free platform operation. This processing takes place within the framework of the User Agreement and is therefore based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR

1.7 Newsletters and other promotional emails 

​

We also process your personal data in connection with the sending of newsletters, surveys or other emails of a promotional nature. This includes your name and email address.

We will only send you such emails if you have consented to this in advance. Accordingly, the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

2. Disclosure of your personal data

2.1 The following service providers have access to your personal data within the framework of an order processing relationship:

(a) our host provider 

(b) the provider of our ticket system for email contact 

(c) the payment service provider 

(d) the newsletter provider 

(e) the video hosting provider 

(f) the provider for technical failure analysis 

 

2.2 We do not share your personal data with third parties.

1. Transfer of personal data to third countries 

The processing of personal data by us takes place in the European Union as well as in your country of habitual residence. If processing takes place in a third country, we will ensure compliance with the provisions of Art. 44 of the GDPR ff.

2. Storage period 

We only store your personal data for as long as we need it to achieve the respective processing purpose and then delete it, unless we are entitled or obliged to retain it further due to legal regulations.

3. Automated decision making 

We do not use automated decision making, including profiling.

4. Your rights 
You have the following rights with regard to the personal data concerning you: 
 

(a) the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), 

(b) the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), 

(c) the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17 GDPR), 

(d) the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), 

(e) the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),

(f) the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR

Pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. The lawfulness of the processing before your withdrawal is not affected by the withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.
